To have the best experience with your hot tub, we advise that you follow the cleaning steps below:
Clean the filter
Clean the filter every 1–2 weeks and replace it annually. You can rinse the filter to remove debris and use a filter cleaner to de-grease it.
Test the water
Test the water balance 2–4 times a week to check the pH and sanitizer levels.
*Shock the water*
Add a higher dose of oxidizer chemicals to the water once a week to reduce bacteria and impurities. You can use chlorine shock or non-chlorine shock.
Drain and refill
Drain and refill the hot tub every 3–4 months. When refilling, add a high dose of sanitizer, also known as a chlorine shock dose.
Air out the cover
Air out the spa cover twice a week. You can also apply a protectant to the cover.
Clean the shell
Wipe the shell with a clean, damp cloth after each use. For stubborn marks, you can use a tub scrubber.
Clean the pipes
Flush out the pipes at least once a year to remove dirt, bacteria, or build-up.
Have it serviced
Have a professional service your hot tub annually.
Leave it on
Hot tubs are designed to be on all the time and work best when left on.
